Cat Stevens - to - Yusuf Islam

As they announce "New web page coming soon" on the front of Yusuf Islam A.K.A. Cat Stevens website, I think to myself "Why?" and "How could they possibly make it any better?"  This website Yusuf Islam is amazing...by far one of the best websites I have ever seen.  As you enter the site you see Yusuf sitting outside holding a coffee cup.  If you look at the small details you will notice the handle of the coffee cup is spinning around in circles.  It shows Yusuf sitting there with a guitar behind him, and a book next to a coffee holder on the small table where he sits, appearing to be thinking.  The options to click on are "Sing", "Think", "Give", and "Bazaar". 

When you enter Sing, like Professor Burton said, you don't want to be in a library or anywhere quiet.  Music plays as you enter a room full of many options.  Its almost like the games that the kids I used to babysit for played.  You can wonder around the room and click on almost anything in the room.  You can click on a record player, which holds song after song of Yusuf/Cat's music.  You can click on a poster which takes you to his biography, a photo in a frame that takes you to his archive, you can click on a little figuring named "Mr. Ho Ho" who is full of facts, you can click on the television where you can watch videos of interviews, etc.  You can even click on a clip board and shop if you wish to.  You can also click on a pile of records and hear any of Cat Stevens records or click on a photo on a shelf to see a gallery of photographs.  Like I said before it is really an amazing site.

As you click on a tea cup located on a table in the center of the room it takes you back to the main page.  Here you will find the four words again "Sing", "Think", "Give", and "Bazaar".   As you go to the next link "Think" it takes you to a beautiful page where you are welcomed to the Journey. This is Yusuf's spiritual page. This is the most important page on his website because it talks about his spiritual journey and why he has changed from Cat Stevens to who he is today. On this page you can learn about his spiritual journey, Islams spiritual domain...you can see talks and articles,  audios, and videos, and even look at a catalog.  You can tell that Yusuf is a very spiritual person and that having this page be a part of his site is probably very important to him.  If someone has the time it would probably be very easy to spend an entire day on this site.

As you move back to the home page, the next link in line is "Give".  This page takes you to his charity where he the chairman of the charity Small Kindness.  Here, you can read and learn all about  his charity and even donate if you wish to do so.  He helps to rebuild the lives of children after a disaster strikes.  You can see a crises map and click on different areas around the world to find out what disasters are going on where, and what you can do to help.  His charity is helping to save the lives of many young people around the world and his work and efforts are so greatly appreciated by so many.

The last and final link is "Bazaar", but as you try to click on it, it says "Yusuf Islam Bazaar coming soon".  I can only imagine where it might take us. Along with all of these captivating and intriguing pages on Yusuf Islams page is a scrolling of News about what is to come, and like I said before, amazing music through out.  The life of Cat Stevens - to - Yusuf Islam is a very interesting one.  If you can take the opportunity to look at his sight and to learn about this talented, spiritual man, I suggest you do so.  It will not bore you in the least.  He is coming out with a new album after years and years of being out of the spotlight.  I highly recommend anyone and everyone check out this website.
